Half Marathon Route Description
:
Start: The AGHM begins and ends at the beautiful Angus Glen Golf Club, at 10080 Kennedy Road, just north of Major Mackenzie.

0-3KM: Approximately the first 400 yards take participants along the winding driveway of the golf course. The route then heads into the community of Angus Glen, winding along the exterior of the neighbourhood on a very slight downhill.

4KM-6KM: Upon exiting the community, participants start a stretch of gradual uphill on Kennedy Road to Elgin Mills Road.

7KM-9KM: After turning east on Elgin Mills Road, participants begin to experience the rolling hills of north Markham. The quick up and downs run east - west, on Elgin Mills Road and 19th Avenue (to come). By 9KM, participants have turned north on to McCowan Road.

10KM-12KM: When McCowan Road comes to 19th Avenue, participants head west, again experiencing the up and down hills. They continue on 19th Avenue to past the 14th KM.

13KM-15KM: Halfway through this stretch participants head south on Warden Avenue, with a very slight, gradual downhill.

16KM-18KM: At 17KM, participants head back east on Elgin Mills Road, back to the rolling hills for a few more kilometers.

19KM-21.1KM: It's all downhill from here! Once participants turn south on to Kennedy Road, heading back in to the Angus Glen Golf Club, they experience a nice, gradual downhill. They take a quick turn back on to the driveway of the club and enjoy the final kick to the finish line.

10K Route Description
Our 10K Race runs along the same route to approx. 6.5KMs, right above Elgin Mills Road, when participants turn around and head back down Kennedy Road and in to the clubhouse.
